Government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi confirmed that the Prime Minister intervened decisively to stop corruption files before they were raised in the media, while indicating that the government is proceeding with ending the mission of the international coalition in Iraq.
Al-Awadi told the "Duty of Honesty" program, which is broadcast on Al-Iraqiya News and followed by (Mawazine News), that "the government was subjected to a harsh and unjust campaign in the past period," noting that "the Prime Minister stressed that the government is for everyone and its goal is trust and services."
He added that "the path of the current government is towards services and not conflict and crisis-making," stressing that "Al-Sudani is the least visible Prime Minister and his focus is on work and achievement."
He pointed out that "the Prime Minister works in a spirit of brotherhood and cooperation with the political blocs to implement the government's program," indicating that "the recent meeting of the Coordination Framework witnessed clarity, frankness and diagnosis of current issues."
He explained that "resolving the presidency of parliament will be a project towards the vision of a consensual ministerial change," noting that "the Prime Minister intervened decisively to stop corruption files before they were raised in the media."
He added, "The government is serious about ending the presence of the international coalition and is moving forward with the decision."
