    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The Al-Nujaba Movement, one of the armed factions in Iraq, revealed today, Monday (September 9, 2024), the factions’ position on the various events that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has been exposed to in recent days.
The leader of the movement, Mahdi Al-Kaabi, said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "the Islamic resistance factions support Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and that some of the recent violations were fabricated by some, whether internally or internationally, to confuse the political scene, and if they were not fabricated, then the matter is the responsibility of the Iraqi judiciary."
Al-Kaabi said, "Al-Sudani is the choice of the Shiite political majority to lead the Iraqi government, and the factions support him and continue to support him."
Last week, the Iraqi authorities announced that they had uncovered a wiretapping and blackmail network operating inside the government palace where Al-Sudani carries out his daily work.
The network's activities, according to leaked information, targeted senior political leaders, members of parliament, senior officials, judges and businessmen, according to sources familiar with the investigation. Seven suspects have been arrested so far, most notably the assistant director of administration in Al-Sudani's office (Mohammed Juhi) .
Last week, the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq described the information circulating about the eavesdropping network case that was run by Mohammed Juhi, the former director of the Prime Minister’s office, as inaccurate .
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council explained in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "the inaccuracy of the information circulating on some social media sites regarding the investigation into what is known as the (Mohammed Juhi Network) case, as this information is based on analysis and inference far from the truth ."
