Today, Sunday (September 8, 2024), Representative Hadi Al-Salami submitted a request to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to end the assignment of the head of the Hajj and Umrah Authority, Sami Al-Masoudi, and the governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq.
The text of the request, which was reviewed by "Baghdad Today", stated that "based on the government's program to end the agency's status after six months from the date of voting on the government, we demand ending the assignment of the Governor of the Central Bank and the Head of the Hajj and Umrah Authority."
Al-Salami called for "re-drawing the Hajj lottery."
