[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Board of Commissioners of the Communications and Media Commission discussed, today, Tuesday, in its twenty-third session, the issue of settling the debts and fines owed by Korek Telecom Communications Company and reaching a mechanism for collecting these debts in accordance with the legal opinion received from the Supreme Judicial Council.
According to a statement by the Council, "a number of decisions were voted on today, including renewing a temporary operating license for the Ministry of Communications (the General Telecommunications Company) for a period of five years after settling financial, technical and legal matters, provided that it includes determining the fees for the frequency spectrum, in addition to voting on the decision to amend the regulatory regulations for granting digital television broadcast licenses by giving violating institutions a period of sixty days to correct their legal position."
In a move that would attract more journalists who seek to cover the Arbaeen pilgrimage that Iraq witnesses annually, "the Board of Commissioners voted on a decision to exempt them from the fees for importing devices for their work this year."
In the context of providing good communication services to the Iraqi citizen, "the Council discussed allocating additional frequencies to licensed communications companies, and also discussed the fourth license and the report of the consulting company to evaluate the market and determine the license price and mechanism Payment of the national license in order to complete the procedures according to the outputs and recommendations of the consulting company. / End 11[/rtl]
