[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Water Resources announced that the Department of Implementation of River Dredging Works has completed 75% of the dredging and sediment removal works from the Euphrates River column within the Najaf Governorate.
The Director of the Najaf Site, Muhammad Abbas Jabr, said in a statement: "The works included dredging and removing the Al-Kifl island near the concrete bridge, dredging and removing sediment north of the Kufa Dam, dredging an island north of the Umm Abbasiyat Bridge and the front of the Al-Mashkhab Regulator, in addition to dredging and removing sediment from the front of the Al-Sawariya Regulator.
Jabr continued:" The aim of these works is to deliver raw water to the intakes of the distillation stations and ensure the fair distribution of water quotas for the Najaf Governorate and deliver water to the governorates of Al-Dhanab. / End 3[/rtl]
