[rtl]The Ministry of Water Resources announced the completion of dredging and cleaning the Al-Sablah earthen stream in Al-Rifai District from silt deposits and aquatic plants.[/rtl]
[rtl]The ministry said in a statement that the engineering and technical staff of the Irrigation and Drainage Projects Maintenance Directorate in Dhi Qar, under the supervision and follow-up of water resources, said that the aim of the purification is to facilitate the flow of water and ensure its delivery to the areas and villages located in the tails of the stream.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added that the purification works are 36 km and 800 m long, with the participation of 14 long-arm excavators and their supporting specialized machinery.[/rtl]
[rtl]It is noteworthy that the large earthen Sabla stream supplies tens of thousands of dunams and many villages and regions with water. Work has begun in response by the Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Diab Abdullah, to the appeals of the people and dignitaries of Al-Rifai District, and to serve the irrigation and agricultural reality in these regions.[/rtl]
