    The Ministry of Water Resources, the inability to remove the excesses on the Euphrates River in the provinces of Babylon and Diwaniya.
    "The province of Muthanna suffers from a great shortage of water reaching it through the Tigris River and its branches in the province," the ministry said in a press statement on Thursday.
    She added that "there are a lot of excesses on water and water quota allocated to the province of Muthanna, which led to the arrival of a small amount of water to the province," noting that "transgressors are erecting huge pumps to withdraw water to their land, reducing the quotas of other regions and provinces "He said.
    She stressed that "the Ministry of Water Resources is unable to remove abuses of water quotas," noting that "the local councils in the provinces have the powers to remove excesses on water according to the areas under its auspices."
    She pointed out that "there is a great interest within the Council of Ministers on the issue of excesses on water quotas scheduled for the provinces, in order to ensure access to each province of its right to water Tigris and Euphrates."
    And called on political circles Prime Minister Haider Abadi to intervene directly issuance of security resolutions firm to impose the law on the transgressors on water quotas in the Shat Rumaitha and other provinces.
