    Information/Baghdad..
Today, Monday, the Parliamentary Economic Committee expressed its support for imposing collection fees on services.
Committee member MP Yasser Al-Husseini said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "There is a trend to enhance non-oil revenues by imposing taxes and organizing collection."
He considered that "the government has the right to impose fees on stable services such as water and sewage, but it must ensure the continuity and quality of these services before imposing fees on them."
He pointed out that "imposing taxes must be linked to the existence of new economic activities."
He added, "The government needs to address the gaps in collection and taxes to be able to transform these revenues into an actual source that finances the operating budget, employee salaries, and develops services." End/25Q
