    Detection and Transport Minister Baqer al-Zubaidi, on Tuesday, with the direction of Iraq for the long-term soft loans, to address the financial crisis experienced by noting that the Iraqi ports company achieved an increase of 60 percent Avaidadtha during the last three months, and they can be directed for investment projects and interoperability To compensate for the shortfall in the state budget, while the Japanese government confirmed that it will implement more projects in Iraq during the next term.



    This came during a ceremony held by the Iraqi ports, today, in the port of Umm Qasr, for the completion of the Japanese loan projects, the presence of the Minister of Transport, and a number of Japanese officials, most notably the Parliamentary State Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Japanese ambassador to Iraq, and a representative of JICA, as well as a number of officials Ministry of Transport and Ports Company, and (long-Presse).



    He said Transport Minister, Bayan Jabr, during the celebration, "the Iraqi ports are the first government in the implementation of the Japanese granted to Iraq loan projects, from the creation of cranes and excavators and pullers," noting that "the last three months have seen a surge in revenues ports rate by nearly 60 percent. "



    He said al-Zubaidi, that "the Iraqi government is trying to get soft loans that are repayable over a long time frame of up to 40 years," asserting that "the Iraqi ports could be heading for investment projects and co-operation to make up for the shortfall in the state budget and overcome the problem of low world oil prices."



    For his part, Undersecretary of the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Sono Laura Kentaro, during a press conference, attended by the (long-Presse), "The Japanese government has provided aid to Iraq since 2003 to support reconstruction projects," noting that "the port sector falls within the Japanese aid to Iraq projects."



    He said Kentaro, that "the real value to help the Japanese are not limited to re-infrastructure of various Iraqi facilities, but also include the training of cadres and the transfer of expertise which enhances the bonds of the economic relationship between the two sides," stressing that "more Japanese projects will be carried out in Iraq during the next term." .



    It is noteworthy that the Japanese government has granted Iraq facilitator loan of five billion dollars, of which one billion and $ 500 million grant, and the rest for the implementation of infrastructure projects, the share of Iraqi ports of which was $ 300 million.
