Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The President of Kurdistan [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], Najervan Barzani accused the Premier Nouri al-Maliki of adopting control and domination policy.
This accusation came after less than 24 hours when the Iraqi National Alliance delegation conducted visit to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where they met with KR President and senior officials there to discuss the pending issues between the Region and the central government.
Barzani said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday “The problem is with the government of Baghdad,” noting “We have said repeatedly that the state of Iraq should be built on three principles that are; the partnership, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and participation in the decision-making, unfortunately, Baghdad violates these principles and we would like to ask Baghdad government if we are partners in the decision-making or not.”
He continued saying “Maliki’s policy is far from the understanding but it is a policy of domination and control which is not acceptable and it is against the constitution.”
“We want to behave with Baghdad government as partners in building the Iraqi state,” he added stressing “There is no hope to build a civil state as long as Baghdad government seeks to militarize the society.”
