The government sought to invest in petrochemical projects and contracting for the oil pipeline in the West Qurna field in Basra province.
A statement by the prime minister received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, that the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi chaired Monday a meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Energy, was at the meeting to discuss investment opportunities in the petrochemical industry and fertilizer projects in Iraq and the formation of a committee of experts from the competent ministries in addition to the Basra province".
It was also during the meeting "to discuss the contract on crude oil pipeline accelerated in the West Qurna field in addition to the measures taken for the projects to produce electricity to provide power to the citizen in accordance with the mechanics of scientific thought and plans."
The statement pointed out that "the meeting took several decisions and directives as well as a review of the implementation of previous resolutions and directives" .anthy
