<p style="text-align: left;"><p style="text-align: left;"><p style="text-align: left; unicode-bidi: embed; direction: ltr;" class="MsoNormal">Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Ali al-Timimi of the parliament Ahrar bloc associated to the Sadr Trend called the Turkish government to peacefully deal with the demonstrators.
Ankara and a number of Turkish cities witnessed since last Friday unrest that led to dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries when clashes erupted between the Turkish police and demonstrators who protested demolishing a park in Istanbul.
The police in Ankara dispersed thousands of demonstrators through tear gas and water hoses when they attempted to head towards the Prime Minister’s headquarter, chanting slogans against Erdogan’s regime.
Timimi said “The demonstrations Turkey is witnessing is a healthy sign in all the democratic regimes, so the Turkish government must listen to those demonstrators’ demands instead of suppressing them like what happens in the dictator governments,” assuring “If the Premier Rajab Tayib Erdogan adopted dictator policy, then Turkey will head to serious cliff.”
“Erdogan should not commit the same mistake committed by the Iraqi Premier, Nouri al-Maliki in his dealing with the demonstrators in the Iraqi cities due to the marginalization and exclusion policies and the manipulation in dealing with the political partners,” he added calling all the neighboring countries not to interfere in Iraq’s affairs.”
