[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called to apply the laws that concern the Turkmens in Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by the SIIC cited “During welcoming a delegation from the Turkmen Front, Hakim stressed the necessity to implement the laws that concern the Turkmens as soon as possible to compensate this oppressed component of the Iraqi people.”[/ltr]
“For his part, Arshad al-Salihi, head of the Turkmen Front , commended Hakim’s interest in the Turkmen component in Iraq, applauding his honorable attitude in defending all the Iraqi people’s components indiscriminatingly,” the statement concluded. /End
