    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, pointed out “There are political and technical reasons as well as corruption on behind the delay in erecting a number of hospitals in Iraq.
    A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki visited the medical city in Baghdad on Monday afternoon and met its cadres in addition to checking the service presented to the patients there.”
    “Maliki promised to follow up the issue of the under construction hospitals despite the fact that their determined schedule is trespassed,” the statement added.
    “Maliki called to keep the medical professions away from the political pressures to serve the patients,” the statement concluded.
    A number of under construction hospitals witnessed delay in the period of construction in some provinces.
