The Iraqi Defense Ministry, on Thursday, closely receiving the first squadron of the Korean fighter aircraft (T-50IQ), pointing out that the delay in receiving the aircraft was due to waiting graduated Iraqi pilots as well as the completion of the infrastructure of the runways at the military airport of Essaouira.
Said Director of Information and Moral Guidance Department Brigadier Pilot improve Ibrahim in a press statement, "The Korean fighter aircraft (T-50IQ) will arrive in Iraq soon after the Iraqi students to complete their training on the leadership of the aircraft."
He added that "the work underway to rehabilitate runways Essaouira military airport and engineering staff to receive these aircraft," he said, adding that "a very sophisticated plane which is comparable to the quality of the" F-16 "in terms of payment will be used in the ongoing battle against Daesh."
Ibrahim denied "push Iraq compensatory amounts for the survival of those planes in South Korea as rumored in the media." jh
