Trump Will Miss The Paris Peace Forum Sunday

US President Donald Trump, who will be in Paris to revive the centennial of World War I, will not take part Sunday in a peace forum organized by President Emmanuel Macaron, organizers said Thursday.
Historian Justin Vaise, a member of the forum's organizing team, confirmed that Trump would miss the event to be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Dozens of leaders are expected to participate at the end of the week in the centenary of the end of World War One, which will see a parade at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris on Sunday. Many of them will participate in the forum on Sunday afternoon.
The Paris Peace Forum is organized from Sunday to Tuesday with the participation of many leaders, decision-makers and activists to discuss international cooperation and global governance.
Participants are expected to defend the multilateral approach to international issues that have been affected in recent years by the rise of Trump-like leaders who see their countries' interests as more protected by bilateral transactions.
McCron often defended the multilateral system and warned of the risk of conflict if it is abandoned.
