Trump Is Right: Clinton Stooge Sid Blumenthal Spread “Birther” Rumor In 2008
By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann on September 17, 2016

Donald Trump is right: It was the Hillary Clinton campaign that spread the rumor in 2008 that Obama was not born in America and, therefore, might not be eligible to serve as President.
Hillary sent out her Chief Goon to take care of this high-priority matter.
It was Sidney Blumenthal who spread the rumor.
Remember him? The one who sent hundreds of wacky long-winded memos about Benghazi and the Middle East to the Secretary of State, including several that contained classified material. Well, before Sid was a fake spy and clandestine adviser to Hillary, he was her chief enforcer. Blumenthal was a well-known peddler of false stories to hurt Hillary’s opponents, or, more often, the women who slept with Bill. He’s the one who told the late Christopher Hitchens that Monica Lewinsky was a stalker who was threatening the President when the Lewinsky story broke.
How do we know he spread the “birther” rumor?
Because the former James Asher, former Washington Bureau Chief of McClatchy Newspapers just tweeted that Blumenthal came to see him to discuss Obama’s birthplace. He reports his firsthand experience with the rumor monger:
“During the 2008 Democratic primary, Sid Blumenthal visited the Washington Bureau of McClatchy Co.,” Asher said in an email Friday to McClatchy, noting that he was at the time the investigative editor and in charge of Africa coverage.
“During that meeting, Mr. Blumenthal and I met together in my office and he strongly urged me to investigate the exact place of President Obama’s birth, which he suggested was in Kenya. We assigned a reporter to go to Kenya, and that reporter determined that the allegation was false.”
“At the time of Mr. Blumenthal’s conversation with me, there had been a few news articles published in various outlets reporting on rumors about Obama’s birthplace. While Mr. Blumenthal offered no concrete proof of Obama’s Kenyan birth, I felt that, as journalists, we had a responsibility to determine whether or not those rumors were true. They were not.”
No doubt Mr. Asher wasn’t the only journalist visited by Blumenthal.
Maybe someone told the Obama campaign. That would explain why he was the sole person who the White House refused to let Hillary hire in the State Department.
No matter. He just moved to a job at the charitable non-political Clinton Foundation.
No one tells Hillary what to do.
