    The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, on Thursday, a memorandum of understanding with the International Organization for Migration [IOM] for joint cooperation in the field to help the displaced and solving poverty and unemployment problems in Iraq. 
    A senior agent of the Ministry of Faleh al - Amiri, said in a statement to the ministry, " The memorandum of understanding signed with the IOM include cooperation in the field of integration of the displaced and the reintegration of returnees and the unemployed who are working below their qualifications, and cooperation in the field of exchange of information on the event of unemployment, workers and operating in order to find appropriate solutions to them, as well as training and educating cadres of the ministry in the area of reducing the phenomenon of labor migration. " 
    "The note also includes training and educating cadres of the ministry in the field of combating human trafficking and consultation between the two parties on labor migration within the strategies and plans of the state to provide assistance by the international organization". 
    And between Amiri said the ministry will be under the memorandum with the help of IOM in surround potential donors and to provide support and supporting documents in order to facilitate the provision of the necessary funding for joint projects, adding that the memorandum will remain in force for two years and shall be automatically renewed for a similar period unless one of the contracting parties submit notice written to end it . 
    He noted that " the main objective of the Ministry of Labour of the note is to improve the living standards of the poorest in Iraq for the people through multiple programs and projects which envisages the reduction of unemployment, while the organization is trying to help in the face of the operational challenges of migration and promote social and economic development through migration and to work on respect the actual human rights. "

" 
    he pointed out , " it was the development of the social security system for workers because the young people 's dependence on government employment and one of the things that affect the national economy, as the country seeks to consolidate funds retired workers and government retirement for the sake of a retired worker in the private sector equal to the retired government employee, "adding that" the ministry reconsidered the minimum wage for the private sector in cooperation with partners from trade unions and the Union of industrialists. "
