    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber Ismail, confirmed today, Saturday (November 9, 2024), that the investment in associated gas in the north reached 410 MCM.
    Ismail said during his field supervision of the scheduled maintenance stages of the North Gas Company in Kirkuk Governorate, according to a statement by the ministry, received by "Baghdad Today", that "it is important to carry out the scheduled annual maintenance of the oil and gas facilities, in order to maintain and increase the investment rates of associated gas to (410 mcm) which is invested from the crude oil supplied from the fields of the North Oil Company."
    He added that "the company's production lines contribute to investing and producing (410 mmcf) million standard cubic feet of associated gas, including the production of dry gas in an amount of (380 mmcf) to support the national electricity grid and industrial facilities in the governorate and neighboring cities."
    Ismail continued, "In addition to producing and supplying factories and citizens with an amount of (1100 tons) of liquefied gas to cover the needs of Kirkuk and nearby governorates as fuel for cooking purposes and for cars that run on liquefied gas fuel," noting that "maintenance work on the production facilities in the Northern Gas Company began on October 25th for a period of one month, and will end before the end of this month, which includes maintenance of production line (1000) with the continuation of work on production line (2000)."
    The Undersecretary of the Ministry praised the "national effort represented by the technical and engineering teams and workers of the Northern Gas Company for their distinguished efforts in completing the scheduled maintenance operations according to the planned timings, and relying on the capabilities and self-resources."
    For his part, the General Manager of the Northern Gas Company, Ahmed Abdul Majeed Ahmed, stressed the keenness of the company's employees to complete the maintenance project in record time and shorten the planned period, by continuing to work around the clock.
