The Penguins have lost Olli Maatta (hand surgery) and Justin Schultz (concussion) to injury, but this may open up the Penguins to make a BIG PUSH for a quality player by saving Maatta's cap space by placing him on LTIR.
Some have said this would open up the possibility of Duchene, but I am hearing they have already talked to the Blues about Shattenkirk as a rental...
