launched in the historic city of Babylon Friday events Babylon Festival of the cultures of the world and the arts in its sixth season international, Arab and local participation and lasts eight days.
It coincides Babylon / Cycle Festival (Nasr Mosul in Assyria , Babylon) this year with victories Astrha the armed forces and the sons of the popular crowd on the factions "Daesh" terrorist.
He greeted Prime poet Dr. festival Alfalh in the opening speech, "they created from the loss of lives of our lives (martyrs)."
Alfalh also praised the "Championships of our security forces in Mosul from the less to the rank of commander of the armed forces", praising the role of the heroes of the popular crowd on winning.
He added , "Our work over the past months to bring life to the ancient city of Babylon," and praised the help and support of the ministries of power and resources of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the local government in Babylon ", also praised the role of the Iraqi Media Network and Zain Iraq for sponsoring the festival.
He read Alfalh message addressed to the Director of Organization UNESCO hailed the launch of the festival, expressed hope that the message will be a good omen for the city of Babylon back to the list of heritage
