    The House voted yesterday to extend the legislative term of one month. We discussed a number of draft laws as an amendment to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Act, and voted to oblige the Ministry of Electricity to purchase their requirements from the Ministry of Industry.
    This came during a regular session of parliament session, which was held on Saturday, headed by Salim al - Jubouri, and in the presence of 175 deputies.
    The meeting started a statement to the President of the House of Representatives condemned the bombing of the Karrada last Friday night incident, called the statement by the security services to take precautions and security measures to protect civilians.
    The session witnessed the vote to approve the extension of the current legislative term for a period of one month after the end of the current legislative term today at the request of the President of the House of Representatives. The Jubouri announced that the Presidency of the Council agreement to determine the 11th of May next date for questioning the Minister of Agriculture after it was scheduled at a hearing on Saturday.
    Parliament voted on a parliamentary resolution obliging the Ministry of Electricity to purchase their requirements from the Ministry of Industry and its products in support of the national economy and operation of the Iraqi workforce and the maintenance of public money.
    It included a session to vote on a proposed law amending the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Law No. (53) for the year 2008 submitted by the committees of human and legal rights for the purpose of the statement of the role of the United Nations Human Rights Office in Iraq for the selection of candidates for membership of the Board of Commissioners and objective oversight and to provide advice and technical support.
    The Council proceeded to vote on the bill (guests and depositors repair), and submitted by the working committees of social, legal, security, defense and human rights affairs, as well as the completion of the first reading of the proposed Iraqi Publishers Union law
    and decided by the Presidency to postpone reading each of the report and discussion of the proposed biodiversity protection law and prevention of discrimination, submitted by Committees Human and Endowments and religious Affairs and the report and discuss the first draft amendment to the Law of Antiquities Law and Heritage No. rights (55) for the year 2002 submitted by the committees of Tourism and Antiquities and Awqaf and religious culture and Information Affairs at the request of the competent committees.
    He called on the President of the House of Representatives to the need to find a mechanism to maintain a quorum to attend the House of Representatives in the coming sessions for the completion of important legislation, including the provincial elections law.
