Khalatati: The House of Representatives does not need to vote to extend its legislative term

The MP for [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/66184/%D8%AA%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%B1 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%85%D8%A9]the wisdom stream[/url] Hassan Khalati, that the Parliament does not need to vote on the extension of its legislative chapter with the near end of the existence of the federal budget for the next fiscal year.
He pointed out that "the Constitution clearly pointed out that the legislative chapter in which the budget is presented only ends with the approval."
"The legislative term of four months ends at the end of this year, and as long as the budget has been presented in the agenda of the Council and read the first reading, there is no need to extend because the legislative term will not end only by voting."
He explained that "Parliament will wait for the adoption of the budget any month next year and then the end of the legislative term is announced."
