    The US embassy in Iraq announced the establishment of the final workshop of the American program - Iraqi Joint (progress) in Baghdad, referring to the allocation of more than $ 100 million to help local governments improve public services.
    A statement from the US embassy in Baghdad said this amount worth $ 106 million, funded by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development initiative will help local Iraqi authorities to improve public services through the implementation of Law No. 21 , the rate at which gives local authorities and provincial authorities greater powers to meet the needs of citizens in their areas.
    The statement said that Ammar al - Hakim , head of the Iraqi National Alliance and Torhan Mufti, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Ms. Stephanie Williams , Acting Embassy of the United States threw the opening words in the workshop
    work.
    She said Williams: "The good governance and economic growth are interdependent are indivisible and mutually reinforcing, namely the stability of Iraq 's key and well - being of its people and prosperity."
    The works project to strengthen the US Agency for International Development with the central and local governments provincial governments to develop their capacity to provide basic services to the people of the governance of the
    Iraqi .
    The project will continue the subsequent program (progress) to provide an important forum for officials from all over the country as well as international experts to develop decentralization strategies that support Iraq 's sovereign unified and prosperous democracy that meets the aspirations of all Iraqis.
