Iraq discusses with Chile development of economic and trade relations between the two countries

Trade Minister Salman Jumaili discussed with the Chilean delegation the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, Jumaili met with a Chilean delegation that included a number of parliamentarians, representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, trade, oil and agriculture, the head of the Chilean friendship committee and a number of Chilean businessmen and investors.
"The desire of Iraq to develop economic relations in various fields, especially economic and trade, in order to serve the common interests between them," said Jumaili, adding that "the possibility of opening the Iraqi market for goods and Chilean products."
He added that "Iraq has fruitful bilateral relations with some South American countries, including the future with the Republic of Chile, and seek to sign the project of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries."
For his part, the Chilean delegation pointed to "the need to establish a joint Iraqi-Chilean committee following the signing of the project of economic and trade cooperation, and to follow up and implement trade matters between the two countries as well as the invitation to participate in exhibitions held in both countries."
