    Killing 26 people were killed and 25 others injured in an armed attack on three vehicles carrying Copts in the province of Minya in southern Egypt on Friday morning, and called on President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi to hold a mini security meeting to discuss the repercussions of the situation. The Interior Ministry said that the attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen in three cars SUV. It said in a statement on its front page on Facebook that 26 people were killed in the attack and several others injured.
    The Health Ministry said in a statement that the number of people killed 26 people and injured 25.
    no claim of responsibility so far for the bloody attack, but the organization of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks against churches in Egypt since late last year and resulted in the deaths of more than 70 people and injuring dozens of others .
    According to the state news agency MENA , quoting the Information Office of the President of the Sisi " is closely following the security situation in the country as directed to take all necessary measures to take care of the injured."
    Egyptian Prime Minister Ismail Sharif condemned the attack, describing it as a "terrorist incident left." He said in a statement , "will not succeed in splitting the national fabric."
    Witnesses and sources told Reuters that masked gunmen shot the Copts during their way to pray at the monastery (Anba Samuel recognized) in Jebel Qalmoun in the desert west of Minya.
    They said the victims were traveling in two buses and a small truck and stopped by masked men on the first unpaved road leads to the monastery and shot them.
    He condemned Al - Azhar Ahmed al- Tayeb , who is currently visiting Germany Sheikh attack. He said in a statement received by Reuters by e - mail "Minya incident is not pleased with him Muslim or Christian , and aims to strike stability in Egypt."
    He added , "I ask the Egyptians to unite all of us in the face of this brutal terrorism".     The Arab countries also condemned the attack.
    According to the Saudi Press Agency , quoting a Foreign Ministry official source said that the Kingdom condemns " in the strongest terms the armed attack in the Egyptian province of Minya."
    The agency said the source stressed " the solidarity of the Kingdom and standing to the side of the Arab Republic of Egypt, stressing the need to strengthen efforts and strengthen international cooperation to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and extremism."
    Emirates described the attack as a "heinous terrorist crime" and issued Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry issued a statement saying "We stand with the people of Egypt and the state against extremism and terrorism."
    Kuwait News Agency reported that Sheikh Sabah Al - Ahmad Al - Jaber Al - Sabah , Amir of Kuwait sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President expressing his condolences. The agency said that the prince confirmed "condemnation of the State of Kuwait and strong condemnation of this heinous criminal acts aimed at undermining security and stability in the brotherly country and stand the State of Kuwait to the side of the Arab Republic of Egypt and brotherly support for all the measures taken to counter these efforts to destabilize its security and stability of the terrorist acts."
    Bahrain condemned the attack and issued a Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that it condemns " in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that took place yesterday in Minia Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, killing and wounding dozens, expressing sincere condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured as a result of this criminal act which aims to intimidate innocent people and threaten their lives. "
    And also condemned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Minya attack. The news agency quoted Palestinian Information (WAFA) quoted him as saying in a statement that he condemns " in his own name and on behalf of the State of Palestine and its people, this heinous incident, stressing the parking of our people along with Egypt and its leadership headed by President Abdel Fattah al- Sisi in the war against terrorism and against those who try to create discord and touch the social fabric ".
    Fawzi Barhoum , a Hamas spokesman also condemned the incident, describing it as " an ugly crime strongly condemned and aimed at creating a climate of sectarian and racist targeting unity of the people of Egypt and its security and stability, the only ones and the beneficiary are the enemies of Egypt and the enemies of the nation."
    They were at least 45 people have been killed in two suicide attacks targeting Coptic Orthodox churches in the cities of Alexandria and Tanta in April.
    In December , a suicide bombing at a church attached to the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo killed 29 people.
