    Economy News - Baghdad
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi confirmed that the ministry will investigate the infiltration of 50,000 Pakistani expatriates to work illegally in Iraq.
The ministry said in a statement that "Al-Asadi expressed his concern and condemnation of the increasing number of illegal workers in the country, noting that the news indicating the infiltration of about 50,000 Pakistani expatriates to work illegally in Iraq will be of interest to us and will be investigated to take appropriate legal measures."
The statement added, "Iraq has witnessed an influx of tourists from various countries during the past few days, including Pakistanis, but many of them have begun to engage in the labor market without the required legal permits."
