    [size=45]The Federal Integrity Commission announced the arrest of an accused person who impersonated a sensitive position in a state institution, and caught him red-handed receiving a sum of money in violation of the law.[/size]
    [size=45]The Commission stated in a statement that “the Commission’s investigation office in Najaf Governorate received information contained in a complaint by a citizen that included a person requesting a sum of money amounting to 25 million dinars; in exchange for a promise to close the case of the complainant’s brother who was arrested on charges of drug trafficking.”[/size]
    [size=45]She pointed out that, "A team from the Commission's investigation office in the governorate took the initiative to set up a tight ambush for the accused, and caught him red-handed receiving 4 million and 500 thousand dinars, which represents the first installment of the agreed upon amount."[/size]
    [size=45]The Integrity Commission noted that “a formal seizure report was prepared regarding the executed operation, based on a judicial memorandum, in order to present it, along with the accused and the seized exhibits, before the judge of the Najaf Investigation Court, which is competent to consider integrity cases, who decided to detain him pending investigation, in accordance with the provisions of Article 312 of the Penal Code.”[/size]
