The Federal Integrity Commission announced, today, Saturday (July 27, 2024), the arrest of an employee in the Nineveh Retirement Directorate; red-handed receiving a bribe, indicating that two other accused were arrested during the operation.
The Commission stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News" that "a working team from its office in the Nineveh Investigation Directorate moved to the Nineveh Retirement Directorate and was able to arrest an employee in the Retirement Directorate and two other accused persons who were in contact and agreed with them to share a bribe they received in exchange for completing a retirement transaction."
She added that "the three accused were arrested with an amount of (6,000,000) dinars in their possession, which they received from the family of one of the martyrs in exchange for completing their retirement procedures," indicating that "a formal arrest report was prepared and presented, along with the accused, before the judge of the Nineveh Investigation Court, which is specialized in examining integrity cases, who decided to detain them in accordance with the provisions of Article (308) of the Penal Code."
