The leader of the Progress Party, MP Burhan al-Nimrawi, revealed today, Thursday, that the reason for the frequent talk about the Sunni region recently is the disagreements and differences. While he indicated that there is a political consensus to pass the general amnesty law and include it in the agenda of the next parliament session, he explained that the head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, suggested to Al-Sada and Al-Azm to give up their ministerial entitlement in exchange for the position of Parliament Speaker.

Al-Nimrawi said in his interview with the program (Publicly), broadcast by Al-Sumaria TV, that "the talk about the Sunni region has increased recently and progress has been made against the direction of establishing a region, whether at the level of the governorate or the Sunni component, because the country does not need other crises," noting that "the idea of a region has not been raised at the present time among the Sunni community, and we have more important files than it, and we have not sought any external interference in this matter, and what is being raised are opinions."

He added, "Regionalization and decentralized government are basic articles in the Iraqi constitution, but it is better to avoid talking about these topics," indicating that "there is an agreement between the political parties within the parliament on the necessity of legislating important laws, including (general amnesty)."

Al-Nimrawi pointed out that "the differences exist in all components, but they vary among themselves, and the closest of them is what happened between the Shiite component when forming the government, which led to bloody events, but in the end they prefer the language of dialogue and resorting to the constitution in all differences," indicating that "the representatives are free in the process of moving between one party and another, but they are subject to criticism, and some of them were influenced by interests, material things and the evaluation in the end of the Iraqi people, and there are figures who see sectarian discourse as an electoral gain and gain."

He explained that "the general amnesty is an important law for a large segment of Iraqis and requires consensus and will be included in the next session," stressing that "there is political consensus at the level of all components to go to amend the text of the general amnesty law and approve it to allow the innocent to be redressed and released and the criminals to be punished."

He pointed out that "the period Al-Halbousi's rule of parliament witnessed great political stability, development and services, and many important laws were passed. The position of Speaker of Parliament is an electoral entitlement for Progress, and all Sunni parties acknowledged this matter," adding that "after Barzani's visit, there was a rapprochement between Halbousi and the rest of the Sunni forces, and we are not against Al-Issawi, but against the mechanism by which he was proposed. If the Sovereignty Alliance had discussed Al-Issawi's nomination with us, it would have been possible to approve it."

Al-Nimrawi added, "Al-Halbousi suggested to Sovereignty and Azm to give up their ministerial entitlement in favor of the position of Speaker of Parliament, and to nominate three figures, and Progress chooses one of them," explaining that "the external role is very natural and the interest in[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]"Like caring for others and they did not offer more than advice."

Al-Nimrawi added that "the Coordination Framework is required to preserve the agreements and the majority among the components because it is considered the big brother for the political component in order for the political process to be straight," noting that "the division that is currently occurring in all components and not in the Sunni house alone, and we call on the Coordination Framework and the Prime Minister to be judges in giving rights to their owners."

Regarding the law[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/131844/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B4%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D8%B9%D8%A8%D9%8A/ar/]The popular crowd[/url]The leader of the Progress Alliance confirmed that "Al-Halbousi is not against it because it is a security institution, but he insists that the commission be independent and far from all politicians with their various titles," calling for "the law to be solid and to care for all segments of Iraqi society who are within this trend and to preserve their rights, and not to be applied only to Shiites, nor for the general amnesty law to be applied only to Sunnis."

He added that "the differences in viewpoints between the political components within the limits of the law and the constitution are permissible and we will not reach security instability because of them because the situation is stable and the citizens have great awareness."

Al-Nimrawi concluded by saying that "the Iraqi borders with[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]“It is possible that they will be exposed to security threats, and we need to be vigilant and aware of security. As a Sunni component, we are putting the ball in the Prime Minister’s court regarding the international coalition forces file, and it is subject to assessments by Al-Sudani,” he added, “If he wants to get them out, we support that, and there is no threat to civil peace if they get out.”[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Al-Nimrawi called on the American government to “stand with the Iraqi people in their economy and investment, and there is no interest for any country in opposing another country, and the relationship between them must be regulated. ”[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The United States is within international constitutionalism and mutual interest."
