US Ambassador Alina Romanowski revealed, today, Thursday (July 25, 2024), that her country will provide Iraq with $3.6 billion in aid for internally and externally displaced persons.
“Did you know that since the atrocities of ISIS in 2014, we have provided Iraq with about $3.6 billion in life-saving assistance,” Romanowski said in a post on the (x) platform, followed by “Baghdad Today,” indicating, “Our work did not stop there, as the United States will continue to partner with the Iraqi government, non-governmental organizations, and civil society to meet the humanitarian needs of Iraqi refugees and internally displaced persons.”
