SDF advance into Raqqa neighborhoods, clashes continue

Raqqa (SyriaNews.media) The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have advanced into Raqqa, on Thursday, and managed to recapture the areas of Hayy al-Mashlab and Tal Kal’at Herakel, west of al-Saba’eya neighborhood, after violent clashes with the Islamic State, north of Raqqa City.
According to Qasioun News, clashes took place between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Islamic State group in the industrial area, in the city of Raqqa, amid air strike carried out by the international coalition on Raqqa Hospital.
Meanwhile, similar clashes broke out in the areas of the 17th brigade, while the SDF managed to break into the defense lines of the Islamic State.
Noteworthy, battles are still ongoing between the Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by US forces, and the Islamic State in the city of Raqqa.
