131 Industry contracts under corruption review

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Acting Industry Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani disclosed that
the ministry is reviewing 131 previous contracts with the amount of 3.44 trillion Iraqi dinars.
In a statement, the Iraqi Industry Ministry started a move for administrative reforms that resulted in demoting or changing some of the directors.
The statement pointed out that the ministry is reviewing the investment and partnership of 131 previous contracts following the discovery of some administrative mistakes and corruption.
It added that 41 investment contracts were cancelled.
