    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani announced the listing of 99 schools and a group of projects for implementation in Diyala. While stressing that the government has given priority to stalled projects, he directed the need to complete major service projects within their specified timeframes.
    A statement issued by the Prime Minister's media office stated: "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting of officials of service departments and formations in Diyala Governorate, in the presence of the Ministers of Health, Construction and Housing, the Governor of Diyala and its Chairman, the General Coordinator for Provincial Affairs, and a number of advisors and government officials."[/size]

    The statement added that "the Prime Minister listened to a briefing from all directors on the service reality in the governorate in various sectors, as well as reviewing the reality of investment, school buildings and infrastructure in it, the projects currently being implemented, and future projects."
    Al-Sudani stressed that "following up on important projects through field visits to the governorates is an approach followed to determine the implementation rates and the most important problems and obstacles," stressing "the commitment to the principle of working in the spirit of one team between the federal government and local governments, which are the second executive arm of the government after the ministries."
    The Prime Minister indicated that "the government has provided financial allocations and support, and has set a priority for projects that have been stalled for several years, and that the position of infrastructure projects in Diyala Governorate is promising and is proceeding according to what was planned," stressing that "infrastructure is the first building block for launching projects, in addition to being the most important components of stability, and this is what is focused on in all governorates."
    He announced "the inclusion of a group of new projects in a number of Diyala districts and sub-districts, within the allocations of the governorate or ministries, in addition to the infrastructure projects adopted by the government, in appreciation of this governorate that represents a miniature Iraq with its diverse spectrums, in addition to the size of the sacrifices it made in
    combating dictatorship and terrorism."

    The referred projects included the following
    : ■ Inclusion of the implementation of (99) schools throughout Diyala, funded by the Iraq Development Fund.
    ■ Muqdadiyah District Sewerage Project at a cost of 56.6 billion dinars.
    ■ Baladruz District Center Sewerage Project at a cost of 45.4 billion dinars.
    ■ Jalawla Sewerage Project at a cost of 44.1 billion dinars.
    ■ Khanaqin District Sewerage Project at a cost of 40 billion dinars.
    ■ Buhriz Sewerage Project at a cost of 28.5 billion dinars.
    ■ Bani Saad Sewerage Project at a cost of 21.25 billion dinars.
    ■ Canaan sewerage project at a cost of 17.5 billion dinars.
    Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed that Diyala Governorate represents a miniature Iraq with its national diversity, while indicating that it is shameful to talk about infrastructure in 2024.
    The Prime Minister said in a speech while chairing a meeting of officials of service departments and formations in Diyala Governorate: “Diyala represents a miniature Iraq with its national diversity, and it is shameful to talk about infrastructure in 2024.”
    He added, “Our methodology for follow-up is field visits to the governorates and meeting their officials, and working according to the spirit of one team,” noting that “Diyala Governorate represents a miniature Iraq and has made many sacrifices.”
    He continued, “We need a great service work, and the citizen’s response should be clear,” indicating that “there have been delayed projects in Diyala since 2009, and we have prioritized the faltering projects.”
    The Prime Minister added, "We do not want electoral or temporary work, but we want infrastructure projects," noting that "the rush and competition do not benefit anyone and we must work as one team."
    In addition, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the Baghdad-Khalis road, which is 60 km long, round trip.
    The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the Baghdad-Khalis road, which is 60 km long, round trip."
    He added that "the road is part of the Baghdad-Kirkuk road rehabilitation and maintenance project."
    The Prime Minister's Office also announced details of the Baghdad-Khalis road rehabilitation project.
    The office said in a statement that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the Baghdad-Khalis road project, which extends from the borders of Baghdad Governorate to Mustafa Jawad Square in Khalis District, as part of the Baghdad-Kirkuk road rehabilitation project."
    He added that "the works included the rehabilitation and maintenance of 64 kilometers, with two lanes; 32 kilometers going, and 32 kilometers returning, at a total cost of 42 billion dinars," noting that "the paragraphs of conflicts with electricity and other civil services have been completed."
    In the same context, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed the necessity of completing major service projects on time.
    The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani conducted a field follow-up on the implementation works of the Khalis Sewerage Project/Supplementary Works, and the West Baqubah Sewerage Project/Phase Two, in Diyala Governorate, while he met with the resident engineers and workers at the site, and reviewed the project's disbursement rates compared to the completion rates, appreciating the role of all workers in these projects that the government has placed among the priorities of its government program."
    The Prime Minister stressed, during his visit to the two project sites, "the importance of adhering to the scheduled timetables for completing service projects, especially those that have reached advanced completion rates, such as the Khalis Sewerage Project, which we are waiting to complete in order to enter into a package of new service projects, in the neighborhoods where sewage projects are completed, in addition to the strategic importance they represent in the areas served by them."
    He pointed out that “the Khalis sewage project has reached 90% completion, and is one of the investment projects of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, with a design capacity of (22,000 m3/day), and consists of a main treatment plant, (7) sewage pumping stations, and (6) rainwater pumping stations, with the establishment of a sewage network with lengths of up to 113 km, serving 90,000 people from the district center.”
    He explained that “the West Baqubah sewage project in its second phase, which is being implemented within the investment projects of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, has reached 47% completion, and consists of a main treatment plant, with the establishment of (6) sewage pumping stations, and (3) rainwater pumping stations, with the establishment of a sewage network with lengths of up to 270 km, in addition to pumping lines, with a capacity of (56,000 m3/day), and will serve 300,000 people in the areas west of Baqubah.”
    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani also stressed the government's determination to end the procrastination of all service projects. The
    Prime Minister's media office said in a statement that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani made a field visit to the Australian Hospital project in the east of Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate, which he arrived at yesterday morning to follow up on and inaugurate a number of service projects.
    " The Prime Minister toured the project site, reviewing "the rates of completion and the progress of implementation," stressing that "companies undertaking service and strategic projects must adhere to the timetables and not procrastinate under any circumstances, because this is unacceptable, whatever the excuses."
    He stressed that "the government is determined in all service projects to end any procrastination and completely eliminate its causes."
    The statement explained that "the capacity of the Australian hospital project is 400 beds, and is being implemented by a specialized Australian company. It is one of the projects that has been stalled since 2008. Work has been resumed on it as part of the government's drive to end stalled projects, and the completion rate has reached 27 percent."
    He added that "the hospital consists of 5 floors, a consulting clinic and various specialized departments to deal with various diseases, in addition to a 40-bed emergency hall and other service departments."
    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani announced the formation of a committee to follow up on the outcomes of his visit to Diyala.
    The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement that "the Prime Minister chaired a meeting that included the Governor of Diyala and the Chairman and members of the Provincial Council, in the presence of members of the House of Representatives from Diyala, as part of his visit to the province to follow up on service projects."
    The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, “the importance of Diyala’s security and stability, which is reflected in the capital Baghdad, because it was the bulwark against terrorism. He stressed the need to work as an integrated team, and the necessity of overcoming differences and carrying out tasks in order to achieve what is required,” stressing that “the governorate and its apparatuses are the second executive arm in the state after the ministries, and this is a philosophy on which this government is based, noting that the government has regained the confidence of citizens, which is an important achievement that must continue, especially in the service aspect.”
    He pointed out that “infrastructure projects are a priority for the government, and it is imperative to complete them, especially the faltering ones, stressing the formation of a committee that will begin its work next week to follow up on the outcomes of its visit to Diyala Governorate, and submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers,” explaining the need to “commence municipal service projects, including paving and sidewalks, for areas where infrastructure projects have been completed.”[/size]
