The largest Zionist incursion into the Al-Aqsa Mosque 50 years ago

    Date of release: 2017/8/1

More than 1,000 Israeli settlers stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday, guarded by Israeli forces, the highest number since the 1967 war.
According to the Palestinian news agency "Wafa", 870 settlers broke into the maximum in the morning.
The incursions were in response to calls by so-called "alleged temple organizations" to mobilize as many settlers as possible to break into the Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the so-called "temple ruin".
In the afternoon, 209 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli occupation forces imposed strict security measures in the old town in the afternoon to facilitate the movement of settlers, usually accompanied by racist slogans.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi warned Israel not to proceed with its provocative actions in Jerusalem.
Safadi said during a speech at a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul that the number of settlers who stormed the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque today, the highest number since 1967.
The incursions followed the easing of tension in Al-Aqsa Mosque in the past two weeks, following Israel's removal of security measures imposed at the entrance to the mosque.
