    Exports of the state of Bursa, northwest of Turkey, from the baby and infant apparel sector rose 65 percent to Middle Eastern markets during the first half of this year, while Iraq imported clothes valued at 45,000 dollars.

    Bursa is one of the most important children's clothing centers in Turkey, which alone has been exported this year to 56 countries.

    According to data from the Uludag Exporters Association (Bursa), the state's exports rose by 65% ​​in the first half of this year compared to the same period in May.

    According to data released by Anatolia, Bursa's exports of children's clothing and newborns to the Middle East during the first half of this year amounted to 3.636 million dollars, up from 2.2 million dollars during the same period of 2016.

    With regard to the list of importing countries from Bursa, Iran continued to top the list during the first half of 2017, as it was during the same period of 2016.

    Iran's imports of children's clothing during the first half of this year reached $ 317,000, up from $ 907,000 in the same period of 2016.

    Saudi Arabia ranked second, with imports rising to $ 1.27 million in the first half of this year from $ 608,000 in the same period in 2016.

    Bursa's exports to the UAE rose to $ 258,000 from 40,000 in the first half of 2016. Exports to Qatar were $ 174,000 and Iraq $ 45,000.

    Exports to Jordan rose to $ 144,000 from 80,000 to Kuwait, from 142,000 to 95,000, while imports from Lebanon increased from $ 3,000 to $ 9,000 in the first half of 2017 compared to the same period in 2016.
