    Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri stressed the need for the participation of all parliamentary blocs in the adoption of laws, while calling for the consolidation of regional and international efforts to combat terrorist organizations in Iraq and the region.

During his meeting with the Polish ambassador to Iraq, Shtanilo Smolen, the head of the legislative authority discussed "political and security developments in Iraq and the region and means of enhancing the paths of cooperation between the two friendly countries."
    "Iraq is looking forward to an active and vital role for the United Nations and the international community to help it rebuild and provide services to the affected areas," Jubouri said.
    "The victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against the terrorist gangs are important achievements in the stability of the region," he said, adding that "the next stage requires the consolidation of regional and international efforts to combat terrorist organizations that would undermine the security and stability of Iraq and the region." For his part, the Polish ambassador said that «his country is keen to support Iraq in its war against terrorism, and to establish the best relations between the two countries to serve the common interests».
