, a US official said that the United States is extremely concerned with the possibility offailing to deter North Korea .
"Quoted by Reuters , " a senior official in the administration of US President Donald Trump , who asked not to be named, as saying : "There is a great danger that North Korea might offend appreciation about the American response to their behavior."
The official warned Pyongyang to "underestimate the American will to protect ourselves and our allies."
