The US Navy said it was investigating reports of a plane crash in Tennessee and the return of a training aircraft to its base.
A naval training base in Meridian, Mississippi, received reports of a plane crash near Telekopelins, Tennessee, the navy said in a statement.
The aircraft, which crashed, may be a T-45 from the air training squadron, whose base is located outside the Marine air base at Meridian, Mississippi, the statement issued by the commander of the Public Aviation Training Unit said.
"At the moment, we know that al-Qaeda had a T-45C-Joshwak aircraft that was training next to Teleco Plains, which is no longer the air base," he said.
Two pilots were on board, one a coach and the other a student. Finished
