    Economy News _ Baghdad

    Oil Minister Jabbar al-Allaibi said on Friday that there are many investment opportunities for companies to achieve the development of the oil sector in the country, pointing out the ministry's efforts to create the right environment for work, while praising the desire of Total to invest in the integrated Nasiriyah oil project.

    The ministry said in a statement received by "Economy News" a copy of it, "The Minister of Oil Jabbar al-Allaibi received today, the director of Total French company in Iraq, Thier Oten," explaining that "the meeting discussed ways to expand the company's work in the oil and gas sector in the country and investment in Nasiriyah Integrated Project ".

    The minister stressed, according to the statement, "the existence of many investment opportunities in front of companies and to achieve the development of the oil sector in the country," pointing to "the ministry's quest to create the right environment for work."

    Al-Allaibi praised the "desire of Total to invest in the integrated Nasiriyah oil project, which is one of the largest investment opportunities in the oil sector," noting that "the relations between Iraq and France are witnessing great development in all areas, including the energy and oil sector and there is a common desire to increase the prospects for cooperation and strengthen partnership Economic and in the interest of the two countries. "

    For his part, the director of Total Thirteen, "the desire of his company to expand its work in Iraq and participate and invest in the implementation of a number of strategic projects in the development of the oil and gas sector in the country, including the integrated project Nasiriyah and Majnoon field south of the country."

    On Thursday (October 5, 2017), Total's director stressed the company's keenness to deal with the federal government and establish and develop projects supporting the Iraqi economy in this field.
