A source close to Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Friday that Iraqi forces are continuing to extend constitutional authority over all of Iraq's territory.
"There is no truth to the existence of a cease-fire agreement under the auspices of the International Coalition and the Iraqi forces are continuing to extend the powers of the federal government to the entire Iraqi territory," the source said.
The media reported that the International Alliance is sponsoring an initiative to stop the fighting between the federal forces on the one hand and separatist militias in northern Iraq on the other, in an attempt to moisten the atmosphere and resort to dialogue rather than military option. End 25 p
