    With the implementation of the US decision to publish hundreds of classified documents relating to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy, new facts are emerging about the incident, which remains controversial, despite more than half a century after it happened.

    According to a document from more than 2,800 documents that have been kept secret for decades, a British journalist in the Cambridge News received a mysterious phone call from an unknown person 25 minutes before Kennedy was killed. The spokesman asked him to contact the US embassy to inquire about a "big event."

    After news of the death of the president, British reports said that the journalist told the security authorities in his country the call he received, and in turn sent by London to the US intelligence.

    The document, which revealed the suspicious call, referred to a "note" written by the deputy director of the CIA on April 26, 1963, four days after the assassination.

    "The British intelligence told us that at 18.05 GMT, a senior journalist at Cambridge News received a mysterious call," the caller told the reporter. "The caller told him to call the US embassy in London for a major event and then he hung up."

    According to the document, "After the news of the killing of the President, the journalist contacted the police and informed her of the call, and the police informed British intelligence."
