    In his inaugural address to the British-Iraqi Business Council held in Dubai, Minister of Transport Kazem Al-Hamami stressed the importance of activating the transport sector and increasing opportunities for Iraqi capacity building.
    Al-Hamami said in a statement to the Ministry of Transport, "Trend Press" on a copy of it on Monday that "Iraq for a day is moving confidently towards the construction and reconstruction after the elimination of criminal organizations and the return of stability of many of its regions, calling on British companies to increase investments in Iraq because of its geographical location and importance in Region".
    Al-Hamami pointed out that the transport sector in Iraq provides important opportunities in all aspects, and reviewed many of the strategic projects that the ministry is working to accomplish. 
    For her part, President of the British British Business Council (LBBC) Baroness Emma Nicholson, welcomed the convening of the Council, "indicating that after several meetings with officials in Iraq, starting from Prime Minister Haider Abadi and ministers ministers service ministries I can confirm that Iraq is attractive investment and can Is a market for many businesses as well as increasing opportunities for Iraqi capacity building. 
    In March 2017, Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding with Britain on a 10 billion pound loan to develop Iraq's infrastructure with a ten-year implementation period.
