Iraq confirms its rejection of Trump's decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem

The Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmad Mahjoub, said in a statement received by Al-Sabah, Iraq's permanent position and support for the Palestinian cause and the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, especially the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Jerusalem is the capital of the Israeli occupation. The statement added that the decision infringed on the identity of the city and its religious and ideological value among the people of all religions and Muslims in particular, and the Foreign Ministry expressed its deep concern about this step, which is not wise.
