     Information / Baghdad ..
The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed on Thursday the inability of the government to conclude an agreement with the United States or any other country to keep and deploy military forces without referring to the parliament, calling on Prime Minister Haider Abadi to submit a report on the need of the soldiers and their numbers and details of their presence and headquarters before the vote on the agreement.
"Any sovereign agreement concerning the national security of the country needs to be ratified and approved by parliament as a representative of the people," Iskandar and Tut said in a statement.
"Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi, in his direct capacity, has to clarify the number of foreign troops, the importance of their presence, the type of weapons and their headquarters to persuade the parliament to ratify the agreement," he said.
"Iraq needs some experts in the field of military aviation, logistical support and intelligence exchange, and does not require a significant increase in the number of foreign troops at all," he said. Ending / 25 d
