    The Ministry of Commerce on Thursday called on JICA to participate actively in the Kuwait conference for the reconstruction of Iraq, which will be held on the twelfth of next February and to see the investment opportunities available in Iraq during the next phase. 
    "Minister of Planning / Minister of Commerce Salman Al-Jumaili met with the Ministry of Planning in Iraq Jan Vigetal," the ministry said in a statement. The meeting discussed issues of common interest in the economic and trade fields and boost cooperation between the two countries. Under the Joint Commission. 
    Al-Jumaili assured the Czech side of Iraq's need for a lot of investments in various fields, especially in agriculture, modern irrigation techniques, electricity, roads, construction of universities, schools, housing, transport and others, which provides great opportunities for various international companies to participate in investment.
    He pointed out that the tenders and the secrecy of the investment companies are the ones that determine the choice of this company or that to implement the required projects. He called for enhancing cooperation between Iraq and Jik in the field of investment and trade through the establishment of permanent exhibitions and exchange visits between businessmen. 
    For his part, the Czech Ambassador Vijtal said that his country is ready to participate actively in the Kuwait reconstruction conference to provide support to Iraq in the reconstruction process, and the Czech companies have a great desire to invest in Iraq and in many areas. 
    Expressing the desire to activate the work of the Iraqi-JICA committee to continue holding joint meetings, revealing the existence of a project to sign memorandums of understanding between the two countries in the field of double taxation and the second in the field of civil aviation and the opening of lines of direct flights between Baghdad and Prague.
