The Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, "Yarub al-Qudah", said that his government's agreement with the Iraqi authorities to allow the entry of trucks between the two countries includes trucks loaded with goods only.

The judges added in a press statement that "the decision will enter into force from next Saturday," according to the newspaper "Al Ghad" Jordanian.

The judges stressed that "the decision contributes to increase Jordanian exports to the Iraqi market and solve the obstacles that faced the process of transporting goods through the exchange arena located on the border between the two countries."

He reiterated that "Jordan views Iraq not as a market but as a strategic partner in all fields."

He pointed out that the Jordanian products exported to Iraq are still imposed customs duties by the Iraqi authorities to varying degrees and even lists approved by the Iraqi authorities to exempt them.

It is noteworthy that the Committee to follow up the export issues to Iraq was established in 2015 by the General Authority in the Chamber of Industry Oman.
