    The Saudi company Goody said it would launch the Goody brand in the Iraqi market, making it the first Saudi food brand to operate in Iraq since 1990. 
    The Jeddah-based Saudi company said it would not only sell its products in Iraq But will also allocate products to suit the taste of Iraqi consumers. The company will cooperate in this field with the Iraqi National Company, which specializes in the marketing and distribution of food. 
    The two companies signed a partnership agreement on April 10, 2018 under the title "One family and the best trip." 
    Goody provides more than 200 varieties of high quality food and expands its business across the Middle East and Africa.
    "We are delighted to be the first Saudi food brand to start operations in Iraq as part of the new trade partnership between the two brotherly countries, 
    "The Iraqis (38 million consumers) are spending about 50 percent of their income on food, and we are seeking to reach a quota in Iraq equivalent to half of our share in the Saudi market over the next five years," he said. near future".
    Dr. Abdul Mutaleb Al-Athari, Chief Executive Officer of Iraqi National Company, said: "Today, we have been honored to sign a partnership agreement with Goody for distribution of its products in Iraq and as one of the largest food marketing and distribution companies in Iraq , We will use our advanced capabilities and do our utmost to bring the Saudi-Iraqi family to a single dining table with quality ingredients. "We thank Goody for giving us this opportunity and look forward to a fruitful trade cooperation that benefits everyone." 
    Goody was one of the 60 major Saudi companies to participate in the 44th session of the Baghdad International Fair in October 2017 as part of the new economic and political openness between the two countries. Saudi companies have been widely welcomed by the Iraqi authorities and Iraqi consumers have shown great interest in Saudi products.
    "We are delighted with this trade cooperation with Iraq and access to the Iraqi market as part of our initiatives to develop export opportunities under the National Transition 2020 program and the Kingdom Vision 2030. We will continue to use the Saudi Export Development Authority," said Omar Al Rajeh, Advisor to the Secretary General of Saudi Export Development Authority. "We hope to increase trade cooperation between the Kingdom and Iraq and look forward to seeing more Saudi companies working in the Iraqi market in the near future." 
    Among the products Goody plans to launch in Iraq in the first stage are pastas, fat dates, chilled coffee, pastas, burgers, tuna and canned fruits.
