    [ltr]Baghdad - Mawazine News[/ltr]
[ltr]Economic expert Salam Smisem attributed Tuesday the drop in dollar prices to election campaigns in Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The dollar is considered a commodity like all other commodities," Samisem told Mawazine News. "Because of the election campaigns that Iraq is going through, huge amounts of money will be spent by the candidates and this will lead to large quantities of dollars in the markets.[/ltr]
[ltr]She added that "this decline is indicative of the large quantities spent by candidates on their campaigns," likely to "this decline is temporary until the end of the election campaigns."[/ltr]
