The National Coalition led by Iyad Allawi, Saturday, to file a complaint against the Electoral Commission in the Federal Court on the grounds of non-response to open polling stations in camps for displaced persons, pointing out that he made a formal request to the United Nations and Prime Minister Haider Abadi to intervene in this regard.
"We will file a formal complaint with the Federal Supreme Court against the Commission for ignoring the request of the Coalition for the opening of internal camp centers in the province of Diyala," MP Raad al-Dahlaki said in a statement.
Al-Dahlaki added that "Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and the United Nations Mission received a message from the coalition demanding them to intervene immediately to end the crisis or take legal and political measures." He said that "not open centers of proposal for the displaced is a political target can not be silent at all."
He called on the government to expedite the return of displaced people to their areas before the parliamentary elections. He pointed out that his committee gave the election commission a week to open polling stations in the IDP camps before resorting to the United Nations. Ending /
